For me right now it’s Avril Lavigne Keep Holding On.
That is a song I listened to during my teen years when I had not many friends, an abusive BPD mother, and a miserable home life.
Now I’m laying on my comfy bed in my lovely room with my sweet kids asleep and a dh who I love and he loves me and we communicate honestly and respectfully…
And I’m glad I kept holding on!!!!

Oldies, but goodies because my mother used to listen to them and reminds me of her. Miss her!

Some 80’s music, mostly 90’s and aughts
Foreigner “Heart Turns to Stone,” “Say You Will,” “I Don’t Wanna Live Without You,” “A Night to Remember”
Gin Blossoms “Follow You Down”
Jewel “You Were Meant for Me” and “Standing Still”
Basically anything from Avril Lavigne’s first couple of albums
Anything by Nickelback - “How You Remind Me”
Soundtracks and theme songs (Buffy and Angel especially)
And more

Whenever my dd asks me to sing to her at bedtime, the first song to pop into my brain is always Keep Holding On
