I gave $18 to English teachers. $25-$36 to Hebrew teachers. Elementary school age girls in Lakewood. Would love to hear more responses

I give $18 to all teachers. But honestly we're pretty tight financially. If I could afford to give more, I would. So maybe don't go by what I say lol

I gave $20 for 8th grade teachers and $25 for 5th grade teacher.

These numbers sound low. I usually give $60 to
Hebrew morah and if english morah is amazing the same otherwise $50.
I know Many people who give $100 per morah.

I don't live in Lakewood but surprised about checks . We just give shalach manos to the teachers. Some people give Rabbeim a token. Chanukah we give $ .

Think average is $20-36 but depending if someone feels they can give more, I'm sure teachers will appreciate it.

Why do people give less for girls English teachers? That's not nice. They're the same important as the kodesh teachers.

Good for all of you that were blessed with the ability to give so much. It's really not nice to tell us that "our numbers sound low." This is what I can afford at the moment and it's not low for me.

Persinally I give the same to everyone. But maybe others don't because they feel english teachers work less hours? Most schools don't have english on friday and have numerous half days throughout the year with no english

And just to add to my post, the fact that I give a "low" amount doesn't mean I appreciate teachers one less iota than you do. I just need to work within the constraints of my bank account. Believe me, I wish it weren't so tight. Pesach is gonna be incredibly difficult.
