I just recently found out that my child has been cutting herself. She is in therapy.
For anyone who’s done it what brought you to that point and how did you feel after.
How long did it take for you to stop and did you ever go back to doing it again?
What would you of wanted your parents to help
You with?

It's important to understand that the cutting is indictive of deep deep pain she is experiencing. For yourself, keep the focus on being a loving and supportive mother. Work on your relationship with her

I didn't personally but I do know of a girl who did and was able to heal, she is now happily married with a family.
You're asking the right questions, and supporting and accepting her will go a long way...

I’m so sorry you’re going through this. I hope you’re getting yourself the help you need to be able to support yourself while you’re supporting her.
