Well LOL. My niece is Yael as a second name (I.e. _____ Yael). She is the 4th girl BAH, and yes, my sister had a boy after her.

Hmm so far all this anecdotal evidence is leaning to a higher % chance of having a boy after.

I can think of 2 Yaels followed by a boy and 2 Yaels followed by a girl.
The ones followed by a girl may have middle names actually (definitely one does, I don't know about the second).

The 2 yael's that I know both have a boy after them! Both their first boy after a few girls.

Just realising that I have another niece Yael. She is the youngest of three full biological sisters. Her parents divorced and her mom went on to have two sons with her second husband. Does that count?

One little Yael in my son's gan has a little borther after her. I don't think she has a middle name, but not sure.

An older Yael I know who DOES have a middle name, has a younger half-brother on her mom's side.

Ha I do.
So after my son I had another little girls. Should I name my next child if its a girls yael? I'd really like to give my son a brother.
I grew up w only one brother and a bunch of girls. He missed out on a brother. (Although I was wilder and rowdier than him so at least he had that.)
Dh grew up w a bunch of brothers. And I only then realized what my brother is missing. So I'd really like to give my son at least ONE brother. And besides, my son is calmer and less wild/destructive then my girls. And if I want to keep having kids and not have my home destroyed I need boys.
