I'm looking for soft stretchy pants for my 5 yr old. he's average size and needs easy to pull up and down pants. looking for something that's well priced and preferably online.
all the ones I tried get holes really fast.

Gap has ponte pants that are unisex. they are really soft jersey material but look more formal because there is a fly and button and waistband. Depending on how skinny your child is you may need the regular or skinny kind. Remember, they are marketed to girls as well so the skinny are very very skinny. They have husky too that my larger than average (14 yr old) son wears and they don't look tight on him, just tailored.

These are my favorite. They lasted all season. Everything else got holes.

It's jeggings not leggings. They look like pants and have back pockets and are thicker than leggings. Just soft and pull on.

I bought these from children's place for my 3 year old - similar look and feel to the lil legs pants but obviously much cheaper. FYI - they look nicer/not as skin tight or girly when my son puts them on.
They have varying sizes so you can get regular or husky if you want a looser fit and you can adjust them from the inside.
I got them on sale plus did pickup in store for additional 15% off so they came out to $30 for 3 pairs
