We are planning on redoing our kitchen in the near future.
What is the first thing one does? Get in touch with an interior designer or with a kitchen company that will actually do that construction?

The kitchen place I bought from does the design as well. They contract out for installation.

I get what you are saying, but Im asking practically speaking, if I want to be able to get themost for my buck, and the most efficient in how to use the (very) small space I have.

The kitchen guy did that for me. I'm in the NY area. The guy I bought from has a reputation for making the most of tiny spaces. LMK if you want his info.

Thank you. Did he also suggest a backsplash and counters to go along with the cabinets ?
Did he recommend cabinet colors and styles, or did you know what you wanted?

I was very low budget so didn't have a whole lot of options. The quote included a Formica backsplash matching the counters. It looks nice.

Many kitchen suppliers have their own designers in-house. Start there and see how it goes. Hatzlacha!
