Is it common for girls in day camp (brooklyn) to wear coverups by swimming? My daughter in second grade said some girls wear it and I can’t understand why? They are only swimming with girls. Why do they need to cover up?

In the pool? You posted on the Lakewood forum btw. Here in Lakewood girls only wear it if they are bused to another location some prefer it over a terry robe. Or when they go in sprinklers that are visible to the street. But not in the actual pool.
