Who exactly should I give a bonus for refinancing something?
The mortgage broker gets paid through the mortgage and , so does his loan processor, company etc

I checked off yes but really it's DH who gets a bonus when there are refinances. It is a lot of extra work on his part while they go through the refinance process. His boss is also generous with bonuses

I’m a tax accountant. We generally see big distributions to investors with a refi not raise in commission.

I thought refis are more or less dead now with the sky high rates. Heard a lot of RE guys have been halting distributions as well in the recent climate.
