I purchased a skirt similar to this and I am realizing that it is not age appropriate? It's not this skirt but it's this floral layered type of look.

I wouldn’t. But maybe it’s just not my style.

I wouldn't at age 34 but I dress pretty conservatively. Can you people watch a bit this shabbos to see how others dress in your community?

It's a tad youthful, but your yardstick should be more your build and the occasion than your age. It looks more appropriate for a very slim build than a more voluptuous one, and fine for walking in the park but not for working in a business office. But you knew that.

Lol - I wore something like this to my business office yesterday. Shows how clueless I am! But then I felt sort of weird after wearing it. The material is very fine and way too nice to wear to a park. Just not sure when I'd wear it.

I'm 49 and I might wear something like that with a sleeveless top and thin waist length cardigan. I do tend to dress youthfully and do look younger than I am. But having read the posts here, I'm starting to second guess myself, maybe I look ridiculous Surprised

In my neighborhood, I definitely see women in that age bracket wearing skirts like this, so it definitely depends on your area.

I would definitely wear that in a few years when I will be over forty.

I think it's lovely for any age. I have a similar style skirt and I'm 38. I don't plan to stop wearing it any time soon.

I think it is.

My young fashionable 41 year old sister would wear a floral skirt like that.

I'm 36 and would for sure wear it. I imagine I would still wear it a 40 with a plain t shirt or knotted button down. It is beautiful but I hear how it is young

The pattern is lovely IMHO
I am not a fan of layered skirts but you can look fine if you are slim. Your earrings shoes and top need to be conservative so to say ( no large hoops or high heeled pumps with slim heels etc)

If you wear it with a simple shirt, maybe a white linen shirt with the sleeves rolled up, or a solid fitted tshirt, then it's an age appropriate. But I wouldn't wear it with puff sleeves or one of those large prairie collared shirts. I'm 43, fwiw

My SIL, 42, Would wear it
Many in 40s wouldn't wear it
I don't think women in 50s would wear it

I'm in mid 30s and dress very conservatively, think black skirts all the time, so I wouldn't wear it
