Cape cod vs lake george

Looking to go away for a few days when the kids have off between camp. Weve never been to cape cod or lake george would love to hear if youve been there and can reccomend any hotels/activities kosher food.. if you enjoyed overall kids ages are 7,8,10 tia!

We’ve done Lake George a few years ago.
We stayed on the inn right next door to Freat Escape . We went one day to Great Escape for the full day.
Another day we did the Around the World Mini Golf and took a steam boat ride on the Minnie Ha-Ha .
We brought our own food along and shopped in Walmart when needed .

We've done both many times. Cape cod is all beach all the time...if it rains...you are stuck. Lake George has the lake,plus water sports,boat rides etc....

Lake George all the way! I’ve been to both and cape cod was a disappointment.

Interesting. I've been to both, but LG only once - couldn't wait to get out of there and haven't gone back. Cape Cod we love and have been back to many times. In LG a speed boat on the lake is fun, and the ropes course is great, but the whole vibe around town was very low class. Cape Cod has a certain charm and flavor that we prefer much more.

I've been to both and like cape cod better

BH we always had nice weather but I guess rain would be an issue there. I'm just thinking though that if it rains you can always drive to the Newport RI mansions for an indoor activity.

Well cape cod is a beach, so there will be women in bathing suits. Less so on the streets of LG however women will be dressed in traditional summery clothes of tanks and shorts
