It generally doesn't cause much gas. Might be a sensitivity you have.

Do you have this problem with other beans? A product called Beano supposedly degasses beans for those who have a problem. (IDK if it's kosher though.) Have you had this problem with string beans before? If not, it's probably not the beans.
