DS is 18 months. Recently he started screeching/shrieking out of blue moon: when he is happy, kvetchy, excited, angry, etc...When will it pass?

My DS (12 months) is doing that now. I think he's trying to talk. I'm hoping it will stop when he learns some words. I just try talking to him calmly when he does it, and hope that he will realize that he can communicate without the ear-piercing screech.

It will pass, just like everything else does.
He might be thirsty bec. it's summer and kids tend to act up when they are thirsty.
