My kids, ages 8-11, have a hard time connecting to it in any way. They don't want to hear about it because they say they know it all. I tried showing a video about it - no success. They just play and overuse screen time. I always feel that I fail to get basic Yiddishkeit across to them. It doesn't help that Tisha b'Av always is when they are not in school, so it never gets covered there, either.

I don't really teach them about it. But every year I sit on floor with them and I teach them how to draw a picture of yerushalayim.
