I want to make yummy mushroom soup. I have white mushrooms and Portobello mushrooms. We are grain free so no mushroom barley. Any recipes or links would be great. Thanx!

1 onion diced
2 packs fresh mushrooms diced
Saute in 1/2 stick butter for about half an hour
Mix in 1.5 T onion soup mix (I usually do a little more), salt, black pepper to taste
Blend
Add water and cook for 45 minutes.
Shut flame and add 3/4 cup milk. Mix.
Serve w mozerella cheese sprinkled on top
Enjoy

Same, except I add tomato paste, balsamic vinegar and some white wine

I think if you sauté with onions and celery for a while then add liquid and a fresh jalapeño and add a whole peeled potato then when the potato is soft pull it out mash it and put it back in . Salt to taste you will not feel the missing grain
