Anyone else in this situation?
I live on a higher floor- 6+, and I live in a small apartment with 4 kids under the age of 5.
There is no yard or porch and nowhere to play.
Shabbos is a disaster. Every single week.
I feel so sad about it.
I dread shabbos and I feel so guilty.
I have to go down 6 flights of steps carrying 2 babies if I want to get out. And then I have nowhere to go. No yard even to sit and watch kids.
The kids get edgy by 9 am and start acting out.
So many people go away for shabbos now so it’s even worse in the summer.
What can I do to stop dreading shabbos?

I was in your situation once. We didn't even have an eruv, so the point of being on a high floor made no difference. Nobody was going out with babies who couldn't walk . We had just one window a/c, in the kids' room. On the hottest Shabbosim we pretty much lived in
their room, even ate there picnic-style on the floor.
Dh went to hashkama so I could go to shul when he came back. We took turns staying with the kids in the afternoon if we wanted to go out. My saving grace was that I'm a homebody and don't "have to" get out every day, so usually I didn't. Going downstairs was ok but then I'd have to climb back up. Dh would go out with the bigger kids, who could walk.
