Exit 107, ver tit eyech gefel'n...
Porom porom porom Rivky abraham, nohny nohny nohny Beily Goldshtein
S'iz eyen Mishpoocha Meer Vysan, Vee'ozoi vellan meer hysan..
Meer gyan in meer zichan, eebar berg and yamim kreechan...
Anyone remembers:
Faigy Bookoretzky
Leah mermelstein A"H
Malya Mermelstein, how is she today?
When the helicopter bees came into the lunchroom and everyone started screaming..
The individual plates prepared for oisfasten. With a huge Chocolate Rugela. After Oisfasten there was spinach, mashed potatoes and maybe fish sticks?
I'm still looking for lasagna that tastes as delicious as Mrs. Bookaretzky's lasagna.
The nosh box with everyone's donated nosh in the room where Mrs Berger used to punish girls.

When where you there? I was there from 2000-2009
I was telling DH when we broke our fast on tisha ba'av, that there's nothing like Mrs Bukaretzky's chocolate rugalech. Yum!! They were also sold at the major plays.
I see Malya often. She's like Leah was nebach. So sad. But she always has a huge smile on her face & looks so happy.

The carpet how did we survive!! Nowadays there's a fancy new air conditioned building.
I still cannot wrap my head around that we only had an indoor pool! The smell! The carpet around the pool that left our feet green! Why would anyone put carpet around a pool????
And the Casino, we were so fancy.

After, but remember when it was named. My older sisters where in camp.
Mrs. Rosenfeld a"h was the camp nurse when I was there.
Her office was called the infirmary and the whole camp would go around drinking honey and lemon. Every once in a while I still make it and introduced my husband to it. He likes it when he has a cold.

Remember the huge punch dispenser? The would mix it with a stick that looked like the oar from a rowboat. On a lucky day there was lemonade.

And Rissi Braun, anyone remembers her? And Feigy Rosenberg would wait by the entrance to the chider ha'ochel and mark down names of everyone walking in a millisecond late.

The moldy carpet smell in the cheder haoichel as well as in the hallways of the bedrooms is forever burnt in my memory.
The indoor pool, yoish. But I was from the few that almost always went swimming.
I still remember going to plays in the cheder haoichel before I was a camper. Who remembers Kruka? Ver in voos in vi in ven? I'm surprised that song is still in my head, I must have been tiny.
Mrs. Berger punishing in the showers or on the fire escape! But then when we became OD's we had the most fun with her. She's a legend. I think her husband passed away recently .

Mrs Rosenfeld's office was called the Surgery!
And it smelled from her homemade potions.

Can't forget the name, I was a frequent mike davener. I don't know why I enjoyed it, maybe because then the whole camp was on my pace?! Lol

In my days Mrs. Braun was the nurse. I'm thinking that maybe my last year Mrs. Rosenfeld took over? I can't remember.
