What's the best material for a kitchen floor? Easy to clean and durable are the priorities.
The kitchen is very tiny so I can afford to buy a more expensive flooring.
Anon because everyone who knows me knows I'm fixing my kitchen.

A large format tile will probably be the best.
If "forgiving" (for falls or dropped dishes) is a factor then it's not such a good choice.

Luxury vinyl tile is good because it's waterproof and tough but doesn't smash like tiles can. You do need to have your floor properly screeded first but if it's a small space your costs shouldn't be too high. Get good quality flooring and experienced floor layers. Its a false economy to go cheap on either.

We got luxury vinyl planks and I'm very happy with that choice. Easy to clean, not hard on the feet or dishes, and not super expensive (or super cheap junk)
I got 3 quotes and was able to think my decision through.
