I'm really worried that my son is experiencing early puberty. He's 7 and is starting to grow pubic hair and he's starting to get grown up smelling underarms-needs Deodorant. Has anyone experienced this? I'm really stressed about it. Got a doctor appointment tomorrow

Ok this is weird but someone told me when kids are molested they end up maturing earlier. I knew a kid who went around touching everyone, and later got known he was abused for 4 years. He was 11 and had a man's voice and mustache. Just saying. You may want to rule that out.

That’s too young. Please get him checked by a good endocrinologist.

Pediatric endocronologist asap.
No matter what the regular pediatrician says (hopefully he/she will recommend the above but you go no matter what).
BE”H all is fine and if anything needs to be done, you will do it and all will be good with Siyata D’Shmaya..

My 7 yr old did start with underarm smell requiring deodorant, but pubic hair at that age is definitely not normal. As others said, see an endocrinologist ASAP.

Are you sphardi. Lots of sphardim get hair really early. And yes, boys can start smelling as early as age 7

I had it with a 9 yr old - pediatric endocrinologist asap so they can slow it down. Fight for an appointment soon or, apart from medical issues, self image, social etc which vary from person to person, he may also not reach his full height. Take into account that if this is not hereditary, it is likely not an isolated problem but part of a bigger picture. Hatzlacha!
