I know an elderly woman who remembers being a waitress in CBY before the days of disposables....they had to wash the crockery after every meal!

OMG, I remember how we found all those dishes and cutlery under the bunkhouse when we painted scenery there for the play. It was so cool, like finding ancient artifacts Very Happy . We couldn't believe that's what they used!

I went to cby over 20 years ago so my memory is a little dusty..but did anyone else feel like there weren't really many activities?? There was some machanayim and swimming and alot of sitting around.. maybe because it was a poor camp and couldnt afford fancy stuff or am I just forgetting stuff??

Yea loved ruchnius cholent! Rebetzin Newhouse is amazing. I really appreciated the opportunity to ask my hashkafa questions. I’d love to listen to shiurim by her nowadays.

I found camp was boring as a regular camper especially because I didn’t like sports. Loved TCs and staff though. More freedom as staff, more fun activities and trips as TC.
