I've traveled with my infant before, but next week I will be on a five-hour flight with my 10-month-old alone. Does anyone have any techniques for entertaining your baby without your husband's help? What do you do when you have to go to the bathroom? My son is in a very wriggly stage too - how do you keep your baby from kicking the seat in front of you or climbing into other people's laps?

I'm already dreading this trip! Thanks in advance for your advice.

I travelled 7 hours with my 9 month old alone this summer. I requested a seat with a bassinet and it was extremely helpful. If it's too late to change seats, breastfeeding also kept him busy and put him to sleep. I brought small new toys in my handbag. My son doesn't take a pacifier, and I'm sorry he didn't... a kind lady gave me a pouch of pureed fruit and it was a lifesaver!

I did it with a 12 mo. Lots of squeezy pouches, books, if you have a window seat he was really busy opening and closing the window, taking in and out the safety card.
