We are in Brooklyn for the chagim and I’d like to get some books for my baby. I have pj library books but I want something more frum. Also need more books for myself and my husband to read this weekend. Those we don’t need to keep but hoping to get some books for the baby to take home without paying full price! Any leads?

Do the people you're staying with have a library card you could use, or could they get one for you? The local public libraries in frum neighborhoods have lots of frum books for adults and kids, at no cost and with longer hours than any gemach.

Cheap books, I don't know. There are jewish libraries but usually have joining fee and very limited hours.

Best bet is to ask people you are staying with. What neighborhood?
