Highstrung

I don’t have a waist so anything with a waist looks weird on me and I have a pregnant looking stomach (and behind) so I wear more high waisted , or loose items. But there are many plus size women who have the right figure for a belted dress. My sister looks great in styles like that .
It all depends on your body and figure.

These are really pretty dresses, having said that it really depends on your body shape to figure out what would be flattering on you. I'm plus size and I wouldn't wear any of those because they wouldn't be flattering and they'd make me look bigger. I know for my shape which is large hourglass, I can't wear anything flowy or loose or I'll look bigger than I am. I prefer straight cut styles that go in at the wait or are belted at the waist. I also personally look better in solids than in prints.
In my opinion, once you know your body shape and research what styles look best, it'll be much easier to shop. I ordered for yomtov a number of dresses on shein and most fit well and looked good.

I have the first dress, in the smallest size. It happens to be very flattering - it has a nice amount of shirring at the high-waist which kind of hugs my body, and it looks really nice on, the top sort of puffs slightly and gives you more space. I got lots of compliments. I changed the buttons, because the ones it comes with are too plain for the dress. I also took in the sleeves a little (I sew) to make them fit tight. It's a really nice dress.

How do you figure out what styles suit you? My body doesn't have much of a shape, it's kind of one big jiggling blob, unfortunately. How do I figure out what styles, if any, would suit me?
