I remember making a potato knish with pulled beef on the top once. It was really simple. I can't remember if it was a full recipe on kosher.com or if I pulled a couple of recipes together. I made potato knishes- think basic recipe. I also had some meat that was falling apart when I sliced it. I pulled the meat apart into pieces and left it with its sauce.
Then for the meal, basically I heated up a tray of potato knishes, and the meat with sauce. I then plated each knish with a dollop of meat and sauce on top. So they got heated separately and I only put it together at the end.
You can look on kosher.com for inspiration or recipes.
I should really do this again for yom tov, it went down well last time, thanks for the reminder.
