I’m so curious how common this minhag is. Please feel free to specify what your community affiliation is (chassidish, yeshivish, sefardi, MO, etc)

We have the minhag in theory but in practice, I am normally on the couch vomiting and can’t move. I break my fast on a power ade pop and wait an hour or two before I add in food. It takes a few hours till I can eat any more than a cracker or two.

Depends on the year and what each of us are in the mood of eating.

I grew up eating what was served. Non fleishig is for a mourning fast, not yom kippur which is a yom tov as far as I know.

No. Jpf Ashkenaz. Dh can give you sources where it’s brought down that you’re supposed to have a festive yom tov meal. We feel better eating light after the fast and never did this before we were married either. I offer bread and whoever wants washes and bentshes.

Yes, chassidish.
We broke our fast on cake and coffee, then about an hour or so later we had: Challah, fish, soup, meat.

Yes. Chabad.

We make havdala. Have fruit, drinks and cake.
Wash and have chicken soup, krepels, a fresh salad, stuffed cabbage, rice and leftovers from pre-fast meal.

B4 yom Tov I make the soup, stuff the cabbage but don’t cook it in sauce yet, prepare the rice, make the krepels. Right after yom Tov I put it all up…

No. We eat bagels. We make hamotzi and bensch, but don't set a fancy table for it. We are MO. Also, BTs, so it is possible we have overlooked something. I am going to ask my LOR now, because I'm curious about it.

I felt terrible after this year's fast and threw up the first glass of water I drank. I can't imagine making a whole fancy meal in that condition, even if it was just heating up and setting the table and serving and putting away.

Fleishig yes hot no. Last year I got this idea to make Chicken Cesar Salad and it was so good I made it again this year. Its meat which DH wants but not heavy so you feel sick after. Everyone liked it so much I think will make it a tradition. We are Yeshivish.

Yes, JPF.

It's not a fancy meal. We have challah and chicken soup with kreplach. Some people stop there. Anyone who wants can have chicken and sides from before the fast.

The idea of eating fleish after a 26 hour fast turns my stomach.

Yes, chassidish.
We broke the fast on baked goods. A couple of hours later we washed on challah, had a small slice of salmon and I served chicken soup.

Yes
Chabad
I try to make enough before the fast for afterwards.
Put up the chicken soup and kreplach to warm up as soon as I walked in the door
Rice, dips, salad from before. We had finished all the chicken so I took out some frozen meat.
Took about a half hour to heat, by the time they came home from shul (there's havdala and cake there) it was ready.
