I have a sweet & sour meatballs recipe that I make for Shabbos. Looking for something to serve over pasta on the weekday with minimal sugar.

I just do sauteed onions, crushed garlic and equal parts tomato sauce and water. You can also sautee grated carrot with the onions if you want more sweetness.

I love to add grated zuchinni into the meat mixture instead of breadcrumbs. It basically melts away and leaves the meatballs really fluffy.

Easiest meatball recipe.
Personally, for me, the sauce is too sweet. I usually put one can of tomato sauce for each pound of meat, a bit of salt and sugar (I taste it to make sure I like it. I make the meat mixture in a container so I don’t lick any raw meat. Then I drop balls in and bake as instructed)

Find a jarred marinara sauce without too much sugar. Put meatballs in it and cook. Easy.

Tonight I'm just seasoning meat and forming into meatballs, baking 25 minutes, and severing straight out of the oven no sauce over spaghetti seasoned with garlic and parsley. Simple and delicious when fresh.
