My eight year old recently became obsessed with Harry Potter and I watched the final movie with him last night . I was so disappointed with how they did the final battle that it got me angry . AMA.

Yeah it's so bad! 1 and 2 were good and it was downhill from there. (FTR I love, love, LOVE the books)

I’ve watched them all and hated every bit of the movies. They are AWFUL!! Nothing like the books at all

Are we supposed to respond like the typical imamother response? If so:
How could you say that? Do you know how many people you just offended? We need to be dan lchaf zechus that the director tried his best. Shame on you for such a post!

You let your eight year old watch such a movie? And we wonder why so many kids who went to babysitters now as adults aren't religious. Shame on you!

I think the only ppl who would disagree are people who only watched the movies and didn’t read the books (which I think is a completely terrible thing and shouldn’t even be allowed legally)

I wasn’t paying attention at that point . I was ranting and raving and fuming to my 14 year old who literally just got home and walked in at the battle and explaining to him how the real book is because he never read it.
I read the cursed child a long time ago , but I don’t remember it .

Yes. The scene when they fly away on the dragon. But to be honest I was spacing out or on my phone for most of the movie. And that’s was a great question ! Thanks !
