Of course not all of them but definitely some of them, especially Google reviews. There are ways to tell so please don't stop reading reviews and checking places out. Here are the red flags:
- All 5* star reviews. No legitimate company is perfect. I found a scam insurance company like this.
- The review naming a specific person over and over. Josh is amazing. Josh is fantastic. Josh was such a help. Big red flag.
- The reviews all being posted by people who have less than 10 other Google reviews. Should be an average of at least 50 other reviews per person.
- Paid reviews - especially on Amazon

I'm an office manager and you really have to bring a can do attitude to work everyday and greet everyone with a nice word even on your worst day.

also conference meetings, on phone or in person are a huge waste of time for everyone. The same thing can be accomplished in an email or text in 2 minutes instead of a wasted half hour or hour I have found this to be true in every company I have worked for.

It's a good excuse for for management to buy you lunch though . .. .

I'm office manager of a really large company.
This is not true. Firmwide meetings help team members feel like they know what's going on, they're important enough to connect with. Team meetings allow you to interact with your team on a close-knit group level. It brings camaraderie and lends a low key opportunity for individuals to voice their opinions during round table discussions. Progress happens each and every time. And one on one meetings foster a relationship which allows for growth when the opportunities arise. It facilitates an opportunity to give praise each week and to point out how things can be better, before it grows into something bigger.
Was it hard for me to see the value at first? Was it uncomfortable? Did I try to get out of leading them? At first, yes. Now I know the value. I see it every week.

Let’s hear another one

If you let your agency do you ad placement you'll probably be getting better placement than sending it in to the mag on your own. Marketing agencies have so many ads they place that they get priority over clients that place just a few ads a year.

I beg to differ. I’ve written 50+ websites to date and never fake reviews. They’re all taken from customers directly or not put in at all.

Most legitimate websites have legitimate review. It's the illegitimate websites and business that have the fake reviews. And some dishonest ones that also do it. It's the truth.

I'm in a specialty education field and it is a sad reality that people will spend way more investing in their business than in their kids especially when it comes to courses. People will spend a fortune on a course that may or may not advance their business because they think they will earn more afterwards. They will not invest that in learning how to help their kids because they cannot afford it. I get where they're coming from but it's very, very sad especially when you remember that investing in your kids is long term profits.

eg (real life examples) people will easily spend $2000 or more on a 12 session business course. The equivalent parenting course will go for max $400. Same for coaching. People will spend $450 per hour on a business coach but for a specialist parenting coach they will ask for a discount on the original $150.

I recently got into nonprofits and I learned that matching donations is a huge lie and scam. Usually a rich donor or a few have already committed to x amount of money, and the non profit claims that money is matching YOUR donations, when ultimately it's being donated regardless of how many people donate. In a small small minority of cases there is a rich donor with endless money doing actual matching, but 99% of the time it's kinda a big lie.

I'm not surprised but it still kind of shook me. Everything online really isnt trusted.

We make up stories as well. I don't trust anything anymore. I didn't think frum organizations did this stuff but apparently they do.

I mean fake stories isn't wrong per say, because it's hard to get real stories sometimes, but it makes me so cynical to anything I read or hear if it's true or not.

I think this is broad scale loshon hora
additionally:
there are hundreds of nonprofits out there
don't paint all with the same brush

I think my husband's firm has almost all 5 stars, and they're all legit. I sometimes wonder if people think he paid for them because of the improbability of it. He's just that good 🤷

I was afraid site visitors would think the reviews on my website are fake, thanks for confirming this. It's for this precise reason that every review has the person's real name, and a profile phot to show they are real people

I'm a office manager and I am really really feel bad saying no to your requests. And no, I don't think you are stupid for asking the same thing many times.

Also, I really feel bad if you are too overworked and if you would tell me I would fix it, don't punish yourself.

I was once involved in such a campaign and I also saw that most of the money was pledged by big donors way before the campaign began. But I don't see any problem with that. The person in charge worked so hard in the preceeding weeks and months getting all these pledges .If these campaigns went live without that groundwork they would do very badly.
