Nice restaurant

Younger kids:

AAH forgot apple picking lol and eating out at a fancy restaurant. Just one of my kids is complaining and my mom guilt is getting the better of me.

Am I a bad mom?

Yes of course.
On top of that, my kids famously complain every Shabbat after a sumptious meal that they are still hungry and we are starving them.
(...of sweets, if interrogated properly). Rolling Eyes

I think the older kids can use more exciting things. It’s not doing nothing but maybe they need more age appropriate stuff, the go karting is good. The rest I hear what they are saying.

Unless you go to a hotel or a road trip your teens will complain . We did it and are kids do it now, your teen grandchildren will too but I cant imagine what grand things people will do then ,maybe go back to goid old times we played board games all together, watched something together and ate popcorn !

It means that they had something specific in mind or an expectation that was unmet. I would ask your child directly, in a very calm way, what it was they had in mind. I know for my kids, they need one trim that seems a stretch more than what we usually do. It’s like let your child had something in mind.

Husband took them somewhere but I don't remember where. I had a headache
Aguda girls made a dancing, food and music night
Dh took them on a boat ride while one kid stayed home to do homework. I stayed home to cook.
