Why do you think that? They would if there are attacks... at least where I live (not NY).

The power of tefilla as a group is very necessary right now, I hope shuls do not close. They need security and a police presence but need to remain open.

I hope our shul closes because my dh doesn't seem scared to go. And I'm terrified! They don't have security, but I'll ask the head of the shul if he can ask police to be there for all tefillos. I don't want my dh and sons to go. I just want them home, much safer.
