At 8 pm, I walked into the hospital where I work. A frum man balancing a large box while speaking on his phone was making his way toward the elevator. As I passed, I saw the Chesed 24/7 logo on the box. He said into the phone "one minute" and stopped me to ask if I need anything. I thanked him and said I'm employee.
But there was my golden opportunity to thank him for when I was on the recieving end. I said "I have no words to thank you for what you do".
To all Chesed 24/7 volunteers and the families who are missing them at 8 pm (or erev Shabbos or any other time), I am awed by your constant humble kindness.
