What does it mean when a recipe calls for chicken stock? What exactly is that?
Is it regular chicken soup like we eat Friday night?
I don't usually have extra in the freezer, I make it just enough for Shabbos. Or is it something else?
Or is it something you buy in the grocery?
Help me out here.
And what can I do if I don't have. Can I just use water instead?

chicken soup or u can make a fake chicken soup meaning mix in consomme into hot water

it is the broth (liquid) of chicken soup.

I make chicken stock by making a chicken broth with bones, vegetables, and seasoning. Then I freeze just the liquid in 1 cup measurements and use it in my cooking

You can substitute water + soup mix.

Chicken soup mix is best.
