4 yo stomach hurts immediately after drinking apple juice

So weird. She told me she’s “allergic” and picked up the pattern herself. Every time she drinks even a little apple juice or one of those juice boxes that have apple juice he says her stomach hurts. Wonder what it could be. She eats apples no problem. Drinks grape juice no problem also.

Could it be the acidity?
Or is it that it makes her need to go the bathroom so it hurts her stomach?

I don’t. We have no juice in the house. But sometimes in school, play dates, pekalach etc she’ll come across it. At this point she declines. I’m just curious what it could be

Thats pretty normal imo. This happems for all my kids. We dilute it and its easier on their stomachs.

Many kids don't do well with apple juice or orange juice. Just have them avoid it.

Apple juice makes me nauseous, I literally bring it up. I Can eat apples no problem
But the juice 🤢

There's a preservative in regular Apple juice called ascorbic acid. To see if that's what she's sensitive to, you can try kosher for pesach Apple juice and see if she reacts. Ascorbic acid is kitnisos, I believe.

I have a sister in law who is allergic to pears and can't drink most apple juice because they also contain pear juice concentrate. Maybe it's that?

One of my kids has this, but she already knows it’s because she drinks too much too fast - like a bloated uncomfortable feeling.

I get horrible gas pain and diarrhea from apple juice. Gas pain immediately after.
As an adult, I learned that apple juice can be used as a laxative.
So, I drink apple juice when I’m constipated. Otherwise, I won’t have more than half a cup.
It’s not an allergy, for me, at least
