I oiled it before I put it in. And now as I’m taking it out of the oven they’re all stuck in the pan. I’ve been doing this over 20 years, I know how to oil a pan. Any ideas how to get them out without butchering them?

Are these disposable pans?

Take sharp scissors and cut the pans away from the challah.

not disposable. I tried cutting it away from the pan and now I have a challah that’s all broken apart. Any other ideas before I butcher the rest of them?

First let the loaves cool then try again. Sometimes the steam released as they cool will be enough.

What type of pan are they on?

For the future, I bake my challa in parchment paper in my non disposable challah pans. For now, try using a rubber spatula and slowly but surely edge it out

I worked all day on it… I’m hoping to salvage it. Will try the other tips.
