I got it as I didn't want to have to deal with a whole snowsuit. I like how I can just strap baby in and then tuck the blanket around.

I've used 7am car seat cocoon and 7am nido, both were hand me downs so don't know if I would have spent the money to buy them new but they are both excellent and last for several kids. Cocoon is very warm, nido is lighter. Both are very good.

Do you want a full muff or just a cover?
The doona tends to get very sweaty indoors or in the car so I got this. Didn't use it much yet.

Hmm probably a cover makes more sense?
Is this similar to the 7am?

If you mean the look yes.
It's a reputable brand also + a decent price which is awesome.
You do have to pull it down really well that it shouldn't have a hole at the sides (where it curves from the seat to the back.)
Another difference between a cover and a full is that with a cover it goes over the hood and you can't really use it when it's on, unless you're interested in making buttonholes or something to fit it between the seat and hood.
