I was just taking out the nets of chicken from my cream of chicken soup and realized one of the packages of chicken went in with its absorbent pad has anyone had this? is it okay to eat the soup? The padding also got torn open .. I disposed of it.. and can I use the chicken or stay away from it and what about the soup? Help?!! 🤦😩🤦

I did this once! I just ate the soup. It tasted good and I didn't die.

I remember vaguely someone here on imamother did the same a few years ago. They ate it and it was perfectly fine.

The lady on this thread didn't eat it. Someone else did mention on another thread that she did.

I once did it for meat. I Googled it at the time, and I think it gave guidelines on the USDA's website...
From what I recall, for our situation it seemed to be ok and we ate the meat.

Somewhere online there are guidelines for this not uncommon situation to what is safe and what is not.

The first time my husband baked chicken bottoms he slid it right into the pan with the pad underneath. We ate it and we were fine.

When I freeze part of a pack of meat or chicken, I put in a baggy and I rip the label off the package and put together with it so I know what it is and how old. So once on shabbos I found the label, on its bit of saran wrap, cooked in the soup. 🤣

We ate the soup

I think Andrew huberman says that the average American eats so much microplasics its equivalent to the size of a credit card every week. (Not sure I believe it! )
