Bais yaakov cook book has a two tone apple kugel
It calls for raspberry pie filling, however cant find it in any stores
What is it then?
I have raspberry pastry filling- what you use for hamantashen is that it?

We bought it once. Yes, it comes in a can like blueberry or cherry pie filling. We didn't buy a "Heimish" brand, I think it may be been Lucky Leaf.
Very much not to our taste, I usually substitute cherry or even strawberry pie filling for it in recipes instead. (and I haven't seen strawberry filling in a while either...)

Came out good but dont think that this was their intention
