I couldn't figure out why the cake I made was so thick. Turns out I only put in 1/3, cup oil instead of 2/3 cup. I realized after it was in the pan and added it then.

I left out flour from a cake....


Apparently the recipe continued on the back of the card.

I had soup in pans.

When the recipe called for one cup of coffee… you guessed it…I used one cup of instant coffee granules, not with water 🤦‍♀️

Using wax paper instead of parchment paper.
The firefighters were kind enough to try not to laugh at me to my face.

1 cup vs 1 capful of rum extract for rum balls.

First time making apple crisp after I got married.

It was beautiful! I carefully placed each slice of apple in the pan. It was absolutely perfect.

Except that I used salt instead of sugar. The whole masterpiece went straight in the garbage!

As a Kallah I tried making potato kugel from scratch for the first time to show my choson. I placed all the potatoes into my parents food processor and it wouldn’t work. So I decided to peel the potatoes instead of grating them for a different idea. It took about two hours. I continued making it and baked as usual. Then I had to bake it and my husband then choson said it was interesting. My family didn’t know what to say. I was to worried. I just was told, not again and they were right.
And the food processor wasn’t broken, just the plug was in the wrong way 🤪

Haha! Made the exact same error with lemon juice! I put in a cupful of lemon juice when I was supposed to put in a capful into a cheesecake. It wasn't edible.

I managed to burn my gefilte fish!
All the water boiled out and there was brown caramelized goo at the bottom of the pot and the whole bottom of the loaf was burned.

I added 8 tsps of salt instead of 1/8th tsp in a tart. Can't Believe It I happen to be good at these things, I'm not sure what I was thinking..

In an old recipe book for a cake recipe they wrote 1 gl (meaning glass) orange juice. I quickly ran out to buy another orange juice to fill the 1 gallon that I needed for the recipe.
I created orange soup with some dumplings gliding around .
This was for a surprise cake I was making for my family as a kid.

Great at burning farfel and quinoa, but I’ve even burnt a whole chicken soup once! Now that’s impressive!

I’ve learnt to bake my farfel etc in the oven on a timer….

Oh I'm definitely guilty of burning soup...didn't even know it was possible until it happened

Also, burning water. We had to toss the teakettle out the window into the snow

Oh! when someone did a favor for me and made the cocktails for a sheva brachos I hosted. I gave her the recipe which included 1/2 cup rum and she put instead rum extract
