If you have a nice store in the center of town (tristate area) what is a normal amount to pay for rent?
I'm looking into opening a store and im wondering if what I was quoted is a ridiculous price or if its within the normal range for a nice place

There are so many variables? What size location? What’s included in your rent? Utilities, parking spots? Even within the Tri state area rents can vary block by block depending on how in the middle of things it is.

I think commercial space is often priced according to square footage, in addition to the things mentioned above .

Its in a mall. I dont want to say which one but its a very good location because of the stores that are in that mall. They gave me a price per square foot, not a set amount. Im curious is $2.50- 3 per sq ft per month is insanely overpriced

What kind of mall? A strip mall or an actual mall? What’s the square footage?

That seems extremely low to me in either case, so just curious. Maybe I’m wrong, others can chime in

An actual mall. Not huge but its a mall with inside lobbies.
We want to rent around 9k sq ft which would be somewhere between 22-30k per month. Is that low?
