It's on a resume for a boy for my daughter, and I'm not from the New York area and have never heard of this school. What's their deal? Hashkafah? What other schools in the New York area (or elsewhere) is it like, or associated with? Thanks!

It ranges from MO Machmir to Modern Yeshivish. A few turn out completely Yeshivish. It can be a pretty wide range.
Schools hashkafa is yeshivish overall but takes the boys backgrounds into account.
I don't know how good I am at comparisons but if you were comparing to a brooklyn girls school, I would compare it to Prospect Park Yeshiva.

Thanks. We've had Yesodei before, and Shaar HaTorah and Ohavei. Is there overlap?

Yesodei is more yeshivish overall. At the right end of MAY you can find boys who overlap with Yesodei.
I am not as familiar with the other two.
