I don't see how it could work. The blades are too small.
Maybe if you cut them into Tiny pieces...

Sounds like a very inefficient idea, but here's how I would do it:

1) Peel potatoes
2) Cut into small chunks (no larger than ice cubes)
3) Put chunks into pot of water
4) Use immersion blender to chop potatoes
5) Drain water
6) Add rest of ingredients, mix, bake

I think if you cut it thin and do it in batches. But wanted to know if anyone hear has done it successfully and has tips.

Do you have a hand grater? It might go faster.

Mashed potato kugel?
I once decided I couldn't be bothered taking out my whole food processor for 1 small kugel. I tried using my stick blender and it didn't do anything except carve a couple of lines into my potato and made an odd noise. So I gave up with that. I then tried with my hand grater and 20 minutes later and less than 1 grated potato later I gave up.
I will only do grating potatoes with my food processor from now on. I have made mashed potato kugel before. You boil the potatoes, mash them, add fried onions, some oil, egg etc and bake. There's a delicious recipe in the balabustas cookbook 2, with a 2 layered mashed potato and the top layer is mashed sweet potato.

Maybe try chopping the potatoes in real tiny pieces & mixing it with the egg mixture. Then try blending it with the stick blender. Doubt it will work, but try.

If you don’t want to buy a food processor you can make potato kugel with a good blender.
Or just buy a small kugel.
I don’t think you can make a good kugel with a stick blender.

Absolutely not worth the effort. Even hand grating, which is quite a job, would be faster and more efficient.
