I'm never sure how much is appriprate to tip.
Is there a formula?
I just went to the beauty salon for a waxing.
The total was $54.
How much would you tip the beautician? (She is an employee, not the owner of the business.)

Typically I tip 20% to non owners so in your example, I would probably give her $10
