Anyone has anyone that could help guide me on how to get help? She will talk to friends but not teachers?

My friends son had this in early elementary school also and the only thing that worked was a therapist specializing in anxiety disorders for children because selective mutism is an anxiety disorder. Nothing else she tried helped she wasted a ton of money.
I would ask around for a child therapist who specializes in anxiety.

Leah dembitzer in Lakewood is known to work with selective mutism.
Rachelli grnadofsky also works with this
My child is still struggling but we recently discovered that for us it is rooted in a language weakness

Wishing you hatzlacha in whichever route you choose to take. Just know, you should be e-z on your kid, "don't" pressure the child to talk. I was a selective mute kid that was harassed by my parents and teachers to talk. It did me no good, on the contrary, it brought on many more issues.
