DD (10) has a denim skirt she loves but it got too short for her? Finances are extremely tight. Not a single extra dollar. We have tons of debt.
But she loves that skirt. I don't want to just take it away because it's too short and she will be angry at the rules. If I had the finances I'd just buy her another denim skirt. But I don't. So what do I do?

Oh wow. That's so thoughtful. I was hoping Tottini will have one for a couple of dollars, but I'll have to pay shipping also because it's just one item. Let me look into it and see if there is any way I can do it on my own. If not I'll come back here.

I also have a ton of lilegs size 16 but that’s probably too big for her

Umm, probably. I think shed be a 14 in Tottini. I don't know how the lil legs run.

Ok, so Tottini has one for $7.18 but I have to pay shipping so it's $7.99 additional which is such a waste. Makes the skirt I to $15 instead of $7.

So I checked Tottini. It doesn't seem worth it because the price for shipping is more than the skirt. So thanks for your generous offer, I think the poster above can help me with a hand me down. Tizku limitsvos

The price even with shipping is ok with me.
But the other poster offered first, but if you still want I’ll gladly do it.

It's so heartwarming to see how readily several posters will help out another amother in need for the sake of tznius. Mi K'amcha Yisrael!
I've gone thru times where finances were very tight, and to the best of my ability, I pushed myself to get my girls nice clothes they were happy to wear. My Rebbetzin says that's the way to teach girls the beauty of tznius. Before I leave the house to take my girls shopping, I whisper a tefillah to Hashem that He help me find reasonably priced tznius clothes that my girls feel happy to wear, and as I'm swiping I say I am doing this for the zchus of my daughters so they be happy to dress with tznius. BH they have remained so for which I am very grateful, and we've managed to catch up, time and time again.....

Why not get a wide ribbon and have her sew it to the bottom to lengthen it?
