Typically? I was positive my baby has the flu because that's what's going around in my house now. Overnight swab results showed rhinovirus not the flu. How long can I expect the fever to last in a 16 month old. She's so miserable. Giving her tylenol/motrin. The secretary called me and didn't give me a chance to ask her what to expect.

You realize that just means that your baby has a cold.
Rhinovirus =cold
He’ll probably be under the weather for a few days.
If he still has fever for another 3 days, take him back to the doctor.
Unless the fever gets very high, just give Motrin and fluids.

Its possible that your baby developed an ear infection as a result of the cold and that's what's making her feverish and miserable .
