Has anyone used Hardsurfacekings (1560 Lakewood Road,TR) or Atlantic Stone (725 Airport Rd, Lakewood) for granite counters?

If yes, hows their customer service?

One person mentioned these names today.

Any info will be appreciated.

I used hard surface & was very happy with their service & I found their pricing the best.
Unfortunately my quartz countertop chipped in a fee places. They claim it's normal & tried filling it.
But I'm not so sure it's normal.

I also got from HSK. Great price but chipped in three places and it’s not even 6 months
They had great customer service until we hit a snag and things got a bit nasty with them
Wouldn’t recommend

Is it possible its an installation issue?

I know floors chip/crack if theyre not installed right.

Does each granite place have their own installers?

If not, who are the best installers of granite countertops?

I used Hard Surface King. So far I'm very happy but our kitchen is pretty new. They came very recommended. The other posters are making me a bit nervous, but between you and me I know people who got quartz from other places and also had chipping, staining, etc...

I know you didn’t ask about this place but this is who I used - house of granite. My contractor highly recommended them and I saw it for myself. Customer service was top notch, fast turnaround, smooth and clean install, covered my counters for me with a special plastic until construction was done so nothing gets damaged, all around was an amazing experience

Staining happens to all quartz countertop like from grapejuice etc.
HSK actually recommended something to clean it once there is a stain.

I went to HOG. HOG gave me a name of a person who installs. I called him and he said he doesnt do small jobs. He only does major jobs.

Who are very good installers of granite countertops, that dont do only big construction jobs?

There are different edge finishes that can chip easier or chip less (from what I’ve researched) I forgot the names as it’s been a while….I wonder if his standard is the one prone to more chips

House of granite has a minimum but it wasn’t so high - remembering from when I did my Pesach kitchen
I did my Pesach kitchen about a year after they did my regular kitchen
They wouldn’t do your job?

I wonder if Quartz chips more than Granite?

I used Set in Stone. It's two years since, no chips. I did a full granite kitchen and also two sinks that they installed for me.

I have one small tea counter where I feel like the granite is not really attached well to the cabinet base - like it's not glued enough. I should really call them but have no time (or patience) to deal. Also the seal at the edge where the granite meets my wall tile is coming off (this was done by the person who did my wall tile, not the granite place).

So I'm pretty happy with both the quality of the granite (it's technically quartzite) and the installation overall was fine.

Interesting! I went to Setnstone last week and they seemed friendly, but theyre not reachable when you call them. I was on the block where their business is, and therers many businesses with the same addresses, but each has a suite number. and I couldnt find the suite. I called and got voicemail telling me they have no idea what suite theyre in. Luckily I googled and got the suite number. Then when I called with a question I got voicemail. Im not sure why if there are 2 people working there, neither pick up the phone, all calls go to an answering service. Id be upset if right before or in the middle of an instillation, I couldnt reach anyone. Do they give out theor cell number to customers?
