and cutlets were called cookie fleish in my parents house. Same Idea I guess?

Breaded cutlets were called ibergetzoigeneh fleisch growing up.

I call patties cookies and beef jerky (I started making my own) fleish candy to get the kids to eat it. They're not big cookie fans but they love fleish candy!

Nowadays I just call them cutlets. That's the only way I make them -fried. So no one's confused lol.

My kids call the mini potatoes “turtle potatoes “. I cut them in half, so it reminds them of turtle shells.

They also call the Trix cereal “PJ Funnybunny”, because the bunny on the box reminds them of one of the characters in a Dr. Seuss books we have.

Growing up Schnitzel was ground meat patties by us or fushet. Took me awhile to figure out that others called cutlets Schnitzel What

Also one of my kids calls breaded fish “sharpies” and now that’s what everyone, even our shabbos regular guests (the ones who come every week) call it!
