Shadchan was nice and efficient , there was nothing complicated BH for her to work out , couple “dropped” her about date 7.
What is the going rate these days ?

Like everything else got more expensive so should the going rate
Chasidush give even more usually

Shadchanus was divided as per our Rav's instructions between person who thought of the Shidduch (1/6), person who redt the Shidduch (1/6), and person who carried out the Shidduch (2/3)

I’m in the 5 towns and consider myself frum, mb slightly yeshivish. I have 2500 to the shadchan and the other side did too. The couple dropped her after the 4-5 date and used someone else. They felt she was pushing them and they didn’t feel comfortable. The woman who then coached and guided them to the chuppah who really sealed the deal, I gave even more to. Without the first, they’d never have met. Without the second they may not have gotten to chuppah.

Oh this makes me feel so bad. We only gave our Shadchan $250. It was me and DH paying for it and we didn’t have any money at the time

Are these amounts total or for each side? We were told 1800 per side, a little less if you are klei kodesh. Lakewood yeshivish type, within the last year.

I just made 2 shidduchim.
#1canadian gave 1500
Other side yeshivish gave 300. Not 3000
#2 one side gave 1500. Other side gave 1200.
Both shidduchim took a lot of time . Was pretty surprised.
