I second this.
You can also make a fruit basket arts and crafts, but the fruit they glue/put into the baskets are hidden and they need to do a scavenger hunt/ complete challenges to get them

Make flowers out of dried fruits, on a skewer. Looks beautiful! Kiwi are the leaves, pineapple ring as the flower. You can add some apricot or whatever you wish on the skewer to add to it.

Fruit skewers are easy and great without chocolate too! You can incorporate making patterns to bring some math into it.

If you’re looking for meaningful, I’d go with this - and have an age appropriate discussion : what are lessons we can learn from trees? What do we have in common with trees ?
