Best winter Friday night dessert!!

Pears in Berry Tea

4 pears, peeled, halved lengthways
Juice of 1/2 lemon
1 cup strongly brewed berry tea
1/3 cup honey
1 tsp cornflour
2 cinnamon sticks
2 whole star anise (I skip this because I don’t have)

Place pears in a pan cut side down.
Squeeze lemon over them
Mix the rest of the ingredients in a mug with hot water
Pour into the pan
Bake at 400 covered for 40 minutes
Flip pears over and Bake uncovered another 25 minutes

Serve warm with the syrup from the bottom
A winner every time!

Hi. I am so sorry, for the oil it’s 1/4 cup plus two tbsp oil. Canola or vegetable oil are best ones.
Enjoy.. it also tastes delicious when you put it in the cholent when you make cholent.

Meat sauce and pasta! Boil up a pot of pasta. Set aside. In a frying pan, sauté ground beef until no longer pink. Pour in a jar of marinara sauce (I like Frescortti) into the frying pan. Bring it to a boil and then simmer for a few minutes. Serve it together with the pasta. My daughter’s favorite dinner!!

Chicken salad
Cubed dark Turkey or boneless chicken cover with honey mustard roast
Roast veggies like peppers, zucchini, eggplant, mushroom, onions in oil, salt, pepper, garlic
Leave them both in the oven for an hour.

Serve over a bed or lettuce with other fresh veggies and a nice ranch dressing on top. This dinner is so heaven and takes me an hour from start to finish every time.

This except I don’t cook the pasta before. I add water along with the marinara, bring to a boil, then cook raw spaghetti directly in the meat sauce. Sometimes I add mushrooms or baby corn to the meat as well.
