I don’t wanna hijack the other pump thread.

I don’t have any pumps. Planning on using it only for backup (engorgement, occasions bottle, but really never full time). The store recommended the Zomee. They said the spectra is stronger but really bulky and unnecessary for my needs.

What do y’all suggest?

You can literally use any pump for that. The zomee is great. You really don't want to cut corners with is flange size. The wrong size could hurt you. You just need to measure it. And if the pump you choose is the wrong size you need to buy inserts.

I think this is very worth the $4.

Right but if I’m getting one for free I just wanna have the best one. Just making sure the spectra isn’t worth it… the store said no, just wanted to check with you wise ladies

I would get the spectra if you don’t have one.
It’s a great tried and true pump.

I've never used the zomee but I heard that people are getting it now. I have the spectra and really like it but it is really bulky. It's going to come down to how much it bothers you that it's so big.

If this is in preparation for a first baby and you've never breastfed before, you may find that you use the pump differently than you planned. If the baby is already here and you know for sure you will only be using it as a backup, as someone else said, it doesn't make a difference which one you get.

I have the spectra and zomee and am much happier with the zomee. It gets more milk in the same amount of time. The only downside is that the zomee has more parts to wash than the spectra.
